Happy Birthday Charlie Palmer

Today sees the birthday of Charlie Palmer and who can forget the day he scored the winning goal against Forest in a historic win on the 12th February 1994. Born in Aylesbury, Charlie started his career at Watford before moving to Derby on a free transfer where he helped them reach promotion to Division 2 in 1985/86. He then moved on to Hull City for a fee of £30,000 where he stayed for two years before Neil Warnock brought him to Notts for a fee of £24,000. Charlie appeared in the successive two play off victories against Tranmere and Brighton. Charlie spent six years at Notts before moving on to Walsall. In all Charlie made 182 league appearances scoring 5 goals.
