Les makes the Hall of Fame
Notts County’s all-time leading goalscorer Les Bradd is to be inducted into the Magpies’ Hall of Fame at a special event attended by Christoffer and Alexander Reedtz.
Les, who remains heavily involved with the club as an ambassador and is also part of Notts County Football in the Community’s team, scored 125 league goals in 379 starting appearances between 1967 and 1978.
And his amazing record will be recognised, along with two important club anniversaries, at a celebration dinner on Thursday 24 October.
Guests will not only have the opportunity to raise a toast to Bradd, but also to Tommy Lawton – who spearheaded Notts’ promotion to the old Second Division by scoring 31 goals in the 1949-50 season - 100 years on from his birth (6 October).
It will also be 50 years (8 November) since the appointment of Jimmy Sirrel, who went on to become the club’s most successful manager of all time as he guided the Magpies from the old Fourth Division to the top flight.
As a special extra treat, those present will also hear from both Christoffer and Alexander, making it an unmissable evening for every true Notts supporter.
Tickets will be available from the club shop and online from Saturday 14 September, when the Magpies welcome Halifax Town to Meadow Lane. Prices will follow in due course.
