Congratulations to Gerry Carver – 80 Years Young!
The committee of the Former Players’ Association has sent best wishes to Gerry Carver who celebrated the milestone of his 80th birthday in June.
Himself a valued member of the committee, Gerry joined Notts as a 17-year-old from a Birmingham junior club, Boldmere St Mary’s, and, a one-club man, went on to make nearly 300 League and Cup appearances in 13 seasons.
He had the honour of captaining Notts against an FA Xl in May, 1962 to celebrate the club’s centenary.
Many friends and former colleagues will join in congratulating Gerry on reaching 80 years young.
