Former Notts loan player Glenn Roeder passes away
We are saddened to hear that Glenn Roeder has passed away after a long illness aged 65, Glenn arrived at Notts on loan in November 1983 from QPR and played 4 league games for Notts. The fans even started a transfer fund to try and make it more permanent but it was not to be.
He began his playing career at Leyton Orient before going on to represent Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle, Watford and Gillingham.
In a statement, the League Manager's Association said: "The LMA is so very deeply saddened following the death of member Glenn Roeder, at the age of 65, after a long battle with a brain tumour.
"Glenn was a highly respected and much loved member of the coaching fraternity, having managed Gillingham, Watford, West Ham United, Newcastle United and Norwich City, and having served as a coach under Glenn Hoddle for the England national team."
Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
